All social security and welfare fund pension beneficiaries who were sanctioned a pension before December 31 must complete the mustering process via an Akshaya Centre between July 17 and October 31, 2026.

A Grama Sabha meeting was held at the Chowannur Grama Panchayat Conference Hall on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM, as a preliminary step towards preparing the Viksit Grama Panchayat Plan (VGPP) under the 'Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar & Aajeevika Mission (Grameen)' scheme. Vice President Smt. Sabetta Varghese presided over the meeting, and Panchayat President Sri A. M. Nidheesh inaugurated it.
The President explained the need to plan and implement the project's activities more effectively and efficiently. The Block Accredited Engineer, Smt. Anju, provided an explanation regarding the VGPP and delivered a presentation. Mr. K. P. Surendran, Member of the Health and Education Standing Committee, presented proposals concerning the VGPP.
Ward members Lissy Joy, Aishwarya K., Neethu K.S., M.A. Shafi, Anoop Balan, Shaharban, Rathi Prarath, and Shaheed K.M. offered their felicitations. Smt. Lovely Jolly delivered the welcome address, and Smt. Sowmya proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded after discussing suggestions and ideas for preparing the VGPP as part of the project.
